OREGON - Gunfire late Tuesday night in Gladstone left a man dead on his
front lawn after police shot him during a domestic disturbance. They
say 23-year-old Michael Evans was armed with a knife and tearing apart
his house on West Fairfield Street.
Neighbors
reported hearing between four and five shots. The man's father says
his son had some issues, but should not have been shot dead by police.
Officers
Steve Mixson and Christopher Spore are on paid administrative leave,
which is standard in officer-involved shooting investigations. The
Clackamas County Major Crimes Team is overseeing the investigation.
